Rest & Recover - A natural superfood mix to help you sleep

Catching zzz’s, getting some shuteye, hitting the hay, having a kip or going out like a light – no matter what you call it, sleep is a vital part of our day-to-day life and unfortunately, most of us aren’t getting nearly enough of it.

Factors such as stress, excess caffeine consumption, light, and using electronics before bed can all impact the quality and quantity of sleep we get each night and in turn, have a negative impact on our health and wellbeing.

For those who struggle to fall asleep, you will be glad to know you can stop counting sheep and start consuming natural superfoods before bed to help you get that vital rest.

Our new product, Rest & Recover, is a blend of natural superfoods that are designed to help your body fall asleep and stay asleep, with additional healing benefits from the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and stress-relieving properties of some of nature’s most powerful nutrients.

Our Natural Superfood Ingredients

Much like our Bright & Green superfood formula, we’ve designed the Rest & Recover blend to be natural, organic and packed full of vitamins and minerals to improve your health while you sleep.

What's Actually Inside? Just Natural Superfoods

Here’s an A-Z recap of the natural superfoods you’ll find in each Rest & Recover powder blend.

Organic turmeric

Turmeric is a powerful golden spice, used traditionally in Indian curries, which packs a punch on the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant front.
The main active ingredient is curcumin, which has been linked to improved brain function and lowered risk of heart disease, as well as having a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant impact on the body.
You can read more about it in our blog about the Top 5 Health Benefits of Turmeric here.

Coconut milk contains a healthier type of fat, known as medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). MCT’s have been linked with weight loss, as they stimulate energy through a process called thermogenesis, or heat production.
Research conducted into MCT’s indicates that this thermogenic effect may help to reduce body weight and waist size.
Another benefit of coconuts is a lipid they contain called lauric acid, which may support the immune system with potential antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Lemon balm is a lemon-scented herb that has been used in traditional medicine to improve mood, relieve stress and boost cognitive function
This extract may help to reduce symptoms of anxiety and ease sleep disorders such as insomnia and restlessness, helping you to ease your mind as you wander into the land of nod.

Not only is cinnamon a delicious, fragrant spice, it is loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory benefits to help your body heal, fight infections and viruses, reduce allergy symptoms and protect your heart health!
Cinnamon powder can help to improve insulin sensitivity, which can lower blood sugar levels; cut your risk of heart disease; and may even protect against cancer by reducing the growth of cancer cells.

Cardamom is a spice with an intensely sweet and savoury taste, which was use in Ayurvedic medicine and Chinese medicine as a remedy for high blood pressure, poor circulation, digestion and gut issues, as well as for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Studies of cardamom has shown it has potential benefits in heart and metabolic health, weight loss, blood sugar balance and liver protection.

Ginger has been used for both medicinal and culinary purposes for thousands of years and it is no wonder why; ginger contains hundreds of compounds that may improve health and healing.
The powerful anti-inflammatory effects of ginger can help with Osteoarthritis, as well as pain and muscle soreness; ginger has also been found to lower blood sugar, improve brain function and reduce the risk of heart disease.
Ginger has also been used for cold and flu relief, the treatment nausea, and relief from chronic indigestion.

Monk fruit gets its name from the Bhuddist monks who first cultivated it nearly 800 years ago and is known for its sweet taste – the powerful antioxidants in monk fruit are 250 sweeter than table sugar!
The antioxidants in monk fruit can promote weight loss, prevent inflammatory damage, protect your DNA, reduce blood sugar and improve fat metabolism.
Monk fruit also contains compounds that have antibacterial properties to help your body fight bad bacteria.

The nutty flavour of nutmeg is popular in many dishes, but it is as beneficial for your health as it is delicious.
Much like the other natural superfoods in our Rest & Recover blend, nutmeg features powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Nutmeg also has antibacterial properties, which may help to protect you against harmful bacteria.
We’ve also included nutmeg for its sleep-inducing and de-stressing effects, which may help to boost your mood and act as an antidepressant.

And last but not least, we’ve included organic black pepper, which has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Black pepper is also known for enhancing the bioavailability of nutrients and vitamins found in other superfoods and promoting gut health.
